Incarnates are the best healers for an undead companion.Ī poison incarnate inflicts poison damage with its basic attacks, and also have two options for ranged poison damage (its poison bolt, and standard ranged attack with its magic armor infusion). ![]() They'll occasionally bunch up around the incarnate, making them great AoE fodder. Third, melee enemie silly enough to fight your incarnate at the doorway not only waste their attacks, but also leave them exposed to your ranged characters on the other side. This leaves them in further butt whooping range for your incarnate! It may also cost them their turn, as it'll cancel their movement if they are on their last action point. Every free attack it makes in a turn is one less attack your party needs to make to finish someone off. Second, melee enemies will often try to run around it, offering it free butt whoopings to all foolish enough to try. Every attack that hits your incarnate saves your party that much damage down the road. You can boost its defenses if you feel this may occur. The first is your incarnate is more than likely bound to soak some hits from ranged enemies. Placing an incarnate at a doorway and positioning your party behind it offers three advantages. I wanted to give some insight within some of my experiences with the class to help new players settle in quickly. Summoner by far is one of my favorite paths in Divinity 2 thus far. ![]()
